School Aims

 

  • Our school will provide a happy, secure and stimulating environment where everyone will be inspired to do their best.
  • Our pupils will be guided towards a loving relationship with God, through example, prayer and the teachings of Christ.
  • Our pupils will be competent, independent lifelong learners, with high self-esteem.
  • Our pupils will be confident and caring in their relationships with others in the school, and with the community at large.

  • To value each member of our school family.

Curriculum

  • To provide a curriculum which will prepare pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life, recognising the pupils as individuals so that they may reach their full potential.
  • To recognise the curriculum, in its content and delivery, reflects the fact that Jesus Christ is the foundation of the whole educational enterprise.
  • To foster, develop and sustain faith, hope and love of God through a broad curriculum based on the Gospel.

Communications and relationships

  • To build a school family based on mutual respect and support for all its members, whereby each is valued as a child of God.
  • To encourage and maintain a mutual openness in communications between all members of the school community whilst maintaining proper respect for each other.

The school in community

  • To promote a sense of responsibility based on Gospel values, developing into an appreciation for the needs of others at home, in school , parish and community, local and worldwide.
  • To initiate an awareness of other peoples beliefs and forms of worship.

Worship of God

  • To encourage children towards the knowledge and love of God, leading to a desire to pray.
  • To provide opportunities through devotional and liturgical celebrations which lead to the supreme act of worship; ‘The Mass’
