Fundraising Initiatives

Below are examples of our main Fundraising Initiatives however new money-making ideas are always welcome:

Matched Funding

Some companies offer employees the chance to boost their fundraising by “matching” the money they raise.  Matched funding (which may be called a different name by your employer such as “Pound for Pound”) is when your employer pledges a sum of money to a charity of your choice (in this case Sacred Heart’s Parents’ Association) relating to the amount you raise (e.g. by assisting at one of our fundraising events) or donate.  Some companies will match funds on a £ by £ basis and some will agree to donate a fixed amount.  In the past, banks, building societies, insurance companies, supermarkets, utilities providers, telephone companies and car manufacturers have offered to match fund however, these schemes are not exclusive to the major corporate giants. If you work for an independent company, they may be interested in charitable giving through match funding too.

You can support the school by asking your employer if they have a match funding policy - if so, it is very easy to set up and arrange, or if you have families or friends who are willing to match fund at any of our events.

If you can’t help out this time, but you know the company you work for has a match funding policy, please let the Parents’ Association know. This could be a really helpful source of support for our school.

Please support us when you shop online by using "easyfundraising" to shop with over 3,500 retailers including Amazon, Argos, John Lewis, ASOS,, eBay, Boden and M&S.  Every time you shop, you’ll raise a free donation for the school, it’s that easy!
